- The Moving Expense Best Practices page maintained by UMBC’s Business Services was developed for departmental personnel to facilitate the payment of moving expenses, but it does have some important deadlines and guidance about what is reimbursable and what is not for faculty who are moving.
- Some moving companies offer discounts for teachers: Budget truck rentals are 20% off on local moves and 15% off on one-way moves; Monster Movers offers 5% off all moves.
